Ukrainian logistics operator Nova Poshta has announced the expansion of its network of sorting centers across the country. The company explains the move as a necessity to increase sorting capacity so that parcels and cargo can move across Ukraine without interruption. This is reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing the operator's official announcement. In parallel, Nova Poshta has opened recruitment for long-term partners: entrepreneurs, owners of logistics centers and warehouse real estate who are ready to contribute to the development of the network.
Why the operator needs new sorting capacity
According to the company, the key goal is to increase sorting throughput in order to maintain stable delivery even under increased load on logistics. Sorting centers, the operator reminds, regularly become targets of enemy shelling, and the destruction of hub facilities and the reconfiguration of logistics processes are already causing additional delivery delays. In this context, building a distributed network of sorting points is seen as a way to increase the resilience of the entire system.
Two formats of cooperation
The first format is aimed at entrepreneurs who can become partners in creating and operating a sorting center. Their task is to receive cargo and parcels, distribute them by direction, and then dispatch them. For its part, Nova Poshta provides partners with a ready-made cargo flow, so there is no need to find clients independently. Partners receive a fee for each processed parcel, a ready business model, standards and technological solutions, as well as operational support at all stages of work with a gradual increase in volumes. The specific requirements for the size of the premises, the number of workers and the equipment, according to the company, are determined based on the forecast cargo flow of a specific location.
The second format is addressed to owners of warehouse and commercial real estate, who can offer their properties to Nova Poshta for lease. The main requirement is a premises area of 500 m² or more; such properties can be used as sorting centers or cargo offices. For owners, the operator offers long-term cooperation and stable income, noting that risk insurance is provided, and specific lease terms are agreed individually. The format can be selected and an application submitted on the company's website.
Where the company is looking for properties
Nova Poshta is most interested in premises in Kyiv, the Kyiv region and the eastern regions of Ukraine. It is in these directions, according to the operator's logic, that the greatest reinforcement of sorting and cargo infrastructure is needed to maintain the uninterrupted movement of parcels.
Context: strikes on logistics infrastructure
The network expansion is taking place against the backdrop of ongoing attacks on logistics. On the night of August 5, Russia launched 28 missiles at Ukraine, including Iskander-M ballistic missiles, as well as 115 strike drones. As a result of this attack, it is reported that Nova Poshta's sorting center in Kyiv was completely destroyed. The operator is warning Ukrainians about possible delivery delays due to the destruction of central sorting centers and the need to reconfigure logistics processes.
Contradictory data
In terms of numerical and factual parameters, no discrepancies have been recorded between the company's official announcement and the data of specialized publications (RBC-Ukraine, Delo, Denhy, UNIAN): the requirements for area (from 500 m²), the priority regions and the two formats of cooperation match.
