According to the co-owner of the Varus chain, 2.1 million square meters of Class A and B+ warehouses have been destroyed in Ukraine since the start of the war, and complete destruction of the infrastructure at the current pace of attacks would take decades.

The destruction of major distribution centers is forcing Ukrainian retail to shift to smaller warehouses. Delivery of chilled goods is rising by 35–50%, adding 7–12% to the retail price.

In the Kyiv region, rescuers are dealing with the aftermath of a night Russian attack: warehouses and homes are burning in the Borispil district, and firefighting was interrupted due to repeated strikes. No official casualties among civilians have been reported.

Nova Poshta is expanding its network of sorting centers in Ukraine and seeking partners and warehouse premises of 500 m² or more to compensate for logistics losses after Russian strikes on sorting hubs.

Ozon removed the addresses of 56 Russian warehouses from its open "Knowledge Base" no later than the beginning of August 2026 — 20 days before the confirmed Ukrainian strikes on its logistics. The addresses of four foreign warehouses, meanwhile, remained freely available.

A massive night attack by Russia on August 20 hit retail warehouses and an oil depot in the Kyiv region. One person died, eight were injured, and retailers are restructuring logistics.
