This year, VDNKh once again became the arena for a large-scale automotive festival, which for the second time is showcasing visitors a unique collection of machinery. The event transformed the exhibition center's territory into a real open-air museum of automotive history, gathering exhibits that are rarely seen in one place.
From Soviet classics to futuristic prototypes
The exhibition is impressive in its diversity. Among the exhibits, one can find the legendary "Moskvich 408-Tourist" convertible, symbolizing the era of Soviet automotive industry, and modern design solutions, such as the "Molniya" car. Special attention is drawn to the specially created "Yuna" car and the prototype of the LADA Revolution racing car, demonstrating the engineering potential of domestic developers.
However, the festival is not limited to Russian brands only. Rare models of leading international brands, which Russian collectors carefully keep and display, are also presented on the sites. The route from the Main Gates to Nalchik Square, proceeding under the motto "Dreams", has been turned into a continuous gallery: here are rare cars of the last century, modern supercars, and models of the future that will not appear on ordinary roads for several more years.
More than 50 unique exhibits
The main exhibition area concentrates more than fifty conceptual cars, prototypes, and vehicles released in extremely limited quantities. Each of them is not just a means of transport, but a historical artifact or a bold engineering idea.
Weekend fever
The event caused a huge resonance among the residents of the capital. On weekends, starting early in the morning, the roads leading from the VDNKh metro station were filled with streams of people trying to get to the exhibition. Last year, the festival already established itself as the largest summer event on the territory of VDNKh, gathering 270,000 visitors.
Today, joint attendance of such events has become an integral part of the culture of Moscow families. Several generations of Russians come here together to touch the history of car manufacturing and see how technology and design have changed over the decades.
