The Polish clothing and home goods chain Pepco has officially announced the launch of its first stores in Ukraine. According to the Retailers Association of Ukraine, cited by Wave RBC.UA, the chain's first store will welcome customers on October 28 at the Kyiv shopping mall Respublika Park. Two days later, on October 30, it will be joined by two more capital locations — according to updated data, in the Retroville and Dream Yellow shopping centers. Thus, at the end of October, the brand will simultaneously launch in three major Kyiv shopping malls.

Online Launch and Assortment

Even before opening physical locations, the company launched a Ukrainian-language website, pepco.ua, which already features autumn clothing and home goods collections — in particular, the "Gentle Autumn" and "Autumn Girl" lines. Customers can browse the catalog, view prices in hryvnias, and find customer support contact details. The chain's assortment includes clothing for children and adults, toys, tableware, kitchen utensils, decor, and seasonal home goods — a typical discounter format set aimed at a wide price segment.

Expansion Beyond Kyiv

The entry into the Ukrainian market will not be limited to the capital. By the end of 2026, the company plans to open stores in Ternopil and Chernivtsi. According to the Ukrainian Shopping Center Council, the locations are set to appear in the new phase of the Podolyany shopping center in Ternopil and the Bukovyna Mall in Chernivtsi; exact opening dates have not yet been announced. Summer market reports also mentioned a potential location in Gorodok Gallery with an area of about 680 sq. m, but it does not appear in the official opening schedule at the time of publication.

Context: Pepco Group and Competitive Environment

Pepco was founded in Poland and is part of Pepco Group. According to a company statement dated October 16, 2026, the chain has over 4,000 stores across 19 countries, and Ukraine is set to become the brand's 20th market. The company officially announced its plans to enter Ukraine back in June 2026. The competitive environment in the segment is already established: according to YouControl, cited by Forbes Ukraine, the revenue of the Polish group LPP (operator of Sinsay) grew by 54% in 2025 to approximately UAH 17 billion, with the group operating over 500 stores in the country. Pepco's entry, therefore, means the appearance of a new major player in a market where main competitors already have an established network and brand recognition.
