An important stage in forming the country's new foreign policy course has concluded in Kyiv. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the new Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi, with the main topic being the appointment of the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs.

According to information received by RBC-Ukraine, the head of state confirmed the fact of negotiations with the head of government on this issue. During the conversation, the parties discussed the candidate who will occupy the key post in the government during the transitional period.

Who will head the department?

An informed source revealed the name of the future head of the foreign policy department. Andriy Sybiga will become the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs. This appointment will be the first step in updating the team responsible for Ukraine's diplomatic relations with the world.

In addition to the appointment of the head of the department, further changes are expected in the structure of the ministry. According to the publication's interlocutor, a rotation among the deputy ministers is planned in the near future. This may indicate the leadership's desire to carry out a deep reorganization of the foreign policy block and increase its effectiveness.

The decision on personnel reshuffles was made against the background of the need to adapt the diplomatic service to current challenges. The meeting between Zelenskyy and Koretskyi became a key moment in the process of forming the new composition of the government.
