Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, stated in a conversation with journalists that Serhiy Kretsky is the most prepared person to hold the position of Prime Minister of the country. This statement came amid active discussions on forming a new government and preparing for the winter period.

Priorities and preparation for winter

The head of state emphasized the importance of preparing for winter, noting that work in this direction has been underway for some time. However, according to him, priorities remain unchanged — the country must be ready for possible difficulties of the cold season. It is in this context that Zelensky named Kretsky as the most suitable candidate for the post of Prime Minister following all consultations.

Discussion of details with the 'Servant of the People' faction

The President added that on the same day, Serhiy Kretsky will hold a meeting with the 'Servant of the People' faction. The meeting plans to discuss details of forming the future government, including the composition of ministers. This will be an important step in the process of appointing the new head of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Expectations from the Verkhovna Rada

According to RBC-Ukraine sources, Serhiy Kretsky remains the main candidate for the position of Prime Minister. At the same time, there has been no official presentation of his candidacy yet. It is expected that the issue of appointing the new head of the government will be considered by the Verkhovna Rada as early as Thursday, July 16.

Closed meetings and participation of key figures

In the morning of the same day, another closed meeting took place dedicated to forming a new composition of the Cabinet of Ministers. Former Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko, the leadership of the Verkhovna Rada and the 'Servant of the People' faction, as well as the head of the President's Office, Kyrylo Budanov, took part in it. These meetings indicate a serious approach to the process of forming a new government.

Kretsky's meeting with deputies

Serhiy Kretsky met with deputies of the 'Servant of the People' faction as a candidate for the position of head of the government. President Volodymyr Zelensky did not participate in this meeting, which highlights the independence of the process of discussing the candidacy within the faction.
