The Polish government is initiating major changes to its civil security system that will affect every citizen of the country. In response to recent airspace violations, Warsaw is implementing an SMS alert mechanism that will warn citizens not only of direct threats but also of the takeoff of combat aircraft. This decision is a direct consequence of a massive Russian strike on Ukraine on July 30, 2026, when a Russian cruise missile entered Polish airspace.
