This price gap, reaching almost an eight-fold difference, indicates a deep transformation of priorities in the country's education and economy sectors.

IT Sector and Business Education: New Price Records

The absolute leader in tuition costs in 2026 was the field of information technology and business. The Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU) set a new record for master's studies: the "Data Science" program is priced at 260,000 hryvnias per year of study. This puts the cost of the full course at several hundred thousand hryvnias, comparable to the annual income of a qualified mid-level specialist. High prices are traditionally characteristic of programs aimed at training personnel for the IT industry, economics, and management, where demand for specialists remains critically high.

Kyiv School of Economics also maintains high positions, offering tuition at 210,000 hryvnias. At the same time, most state universities, despite inflationary processes, try to keep prices in the range of 80,000 to 110,000 hryvnias. However, even within the same field of study, the cost can differ radically depending on the prestige of the educational institution and its location.
