Ukrainian military personnel have delivered approximately four tons of food and medicine to the residents of occupied Oleshky in the Kherson region. A complex humanitarian operation was carried out utilizing unmanned aerial vehicles to overcome the city's blockade.

Participants and Details of the Complex Operation

Units from various branches of the military joined in delivering the vital supplies. Specifically, the operation involved marines from the 34th Separate Marine Brigade "Borysthen", the 11th National Guard Brigade of Ukraine, the 34th National Guard Regiment, and the 79th Border Guard Detachment.

The use of drones made it possible to bypass logistical obstacles and transfer aid to local residents living under occupation. Earlier reports also detailed other targeted deliveries, including baby food and supplies for infants delivered by National Guard special forces.

Humanitarian Situation and the Threat of Provocations

According to military estimates, the delivered cargo provides substantial support, but the needs of civilians remain critical. Residents of Oleshky urgently require food, medicine, safe access to humanitarian assistance, and a genuine opportunity to leave the settlement.

At the same time, Ukrainian intelligence warns of preparations for staged video materials. According to available data, the Russian side may coerce local residents into recording staged statements on camera thanking the occupation authorities and claiming satisfactory living conditions.

Ceasefire and International Context

The humanitarian operation unfolds against the backdrop of agreements to establish a ceasefire in Oleshky starting October 27. The agreed-upon silencing regime is intended to save civilian lives and carry out large-scale rescue measures.

The necessity of a local truce for delivering humanitarian cargo and protecting the civilian population was previously emphasized by representatives of the White House. Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, specified the schedule for introducing weapons restrictions in the region.
