Context and previous attacks on the regions

The current massive strike continues a series of regular shellings of the southern and central regions of Ukraine. Previously, on the evening of October 15, Russian forces already attacked Zaporizhzhia, resulting in a private enterprise catching fire.

Similar incidents occurred at the beginning of the month. On the morning of October 10, an enemy strike hit a five-story residential building in one of the Ukrainian cities, leading to large-scale destruction and casualties among the civilian population. Local authorities continue to urge citizens to strictly follow safety rules during air raids.
