On the night of July 30, the Ukrainian city of Lviv was subjected to a large-scale rocket attack by Russia. According to the latest data, the number of casualties resulting from the strikes has risen to 38. This was reported by the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozitsky, in his Telegram channel.
Scale of destruction
As a result of the attack, 35 residential buildings were damaged. The most serious destruction was recorded on Patona and Vyhovs'koho streets. As clarified by the Regional Military Administration, a rocket directly hit a residential building on Vyhovs'koho street. Educational institutions were also affected: one school and two kindergartens.
Situation with casualties
Among the 38 injured are three children. Earlier, rescuers working at the site of the destroyed five-story building found the body of a man under the rubble. Rescue operations are ongoing; specialists are using lifting equipment to access the upper floors of damaged buildings and search for possible survivors.
Government response
Maksym Kozitsky confirmed that the situation is under control, although the full scale of the damage is still being assessed. Authorities are urging residents to remain calm and follow civil defense instructions. Emergency services are operating in the city, providing assistance to the injured and eliminating the consequences of the attack.
