There is a high probability that the Russian Federation will still attempt to take the current armed aggression beyond the territory of Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made such an alarming warning, drawing the international community's attention to the escalation of threats.
Threat to other states and regions
Citing data from numerous intelligence communities, the Ukrainian leader emphasized that Moscow is harboring plans to expand its military activity to other states and potentially other regions of the planet. Although specific countries were not named, the situation requires the immediate consolidation of efforts by the global community.
Kremlin plans for drone production in 2027
In his statement, the President paid special attention to the Kremlin's large-scale plans for 2027 regarding the ramp-up of production of jet-propelled 'Shahed' drones and modern loitering munitions. According to available operational data, the Russian leadership intends to direct a colossal sum of 12 billion dollars for these purposes, which poses a threat far beyond Ukraine.
Air defense efficiency and sanctions pressure
Commenting on the current situation on the battlefield and in airspace, Volodymyr Zelensky noted that Ukrainian air defense forces are successfully neutralizing about 55% of enemy jet drones. In September alone, the enemy launched more than 2,730 UAVs at Ukrainian cities. In this regard, Kyiv insists on introducing harsh international sanctions and joint preventive defense from Western partners.
