Following another massive strike by the Russian armed forces on Ukrainian territory, one of YASNO's warehouses was completely burned down. The facility stored equipment for solar power plants. This was announced by the company's CEO, Serhiy Kovalenko, in his Facebook account, as reported by RBC-Ukraine. According to the head of the company, no employees were harmed in the attack or the subsequent fire: "The most important thing is that everyone is safe. That is what matters most," he emphasized.
Scale of the damage and evacuation of assets
As Kovalenko clarified, the destroyed facility held a significant portion of the equipment used for installing and maintaining solar power plants. Most of the equipment was damaged in the fire and is no longer fit for use. The surviving assets have already been evacuated and transferred to the company's other operating warehouses. At present, YASNO specialists are assessing the exact amount of material damage. Photos from the scene, published in open sources, document the scale of the destruction: charred metal structures, destroyed shelving, black soot on the walls and ceiling, as well as the remains of equipment reduced to unusable fragments.
Company continues to fulfill its obligations
Despite the loss of one of its key logistics facilities and part of its warehouse stock, YASNO states that it is maintaining normal operations. "We will have enough equipment, as we hold all the necessary reserves," noted Serhiy Kovalenko. Thus, the company confirms that the stock available at other sites allows it to continue fulfilling its obligations to clients, including the installation and maintenance of solar power plants for private and corporate customers. Recall that YASNO previously announced plans to capture up to 10% of the Ukrainian solar installation market and launched its own monitoring system for the operation of solar stations and energy storage systems, which makes preserving the logistics chain critically important for implementing its strategy.
Context: systematic strikes on civilian infrastructure and private business
The attack on the YASNO warehouse is an episode in a series of deliberate strikes by Russian forces on civilian infrastructure and private business, which have been recorded over the past few days. The facilities of leading retail chains and companies have already come under fire, including "Episenter," "Nova Poshta," Roshen, Comfy, "Fola," "Aurora," "Kolo," as well as a number of Ukrainian bookstores and publishing houses. As a result of these attacks, the product stock of many enterprises has been destroyed, and some companies have suffered the destruction of entire production and logistics facilities. According to data cited in open sources, the massive strikes have destroyed up to 90% of food warehouses across the country.
Response from the relevant authorities
The relevant ministry assured that, despite the large-scale infrastructure losses, a critical shortage of basic food products for the population can be avoided thanks to the reconfiguration of imports and domestic logistics. Nevertheless, experts note that the systematic destruction of warehouse and production facilities of private business deals a long-term blow to the country's economic potential and hampers the restoration of supply chains, especially in the energy sector, where YASNO and its competitors play a key role in ensuring citizens' energy independence.
