On October 2, 2026, Russian occupation forces carried out another targeted attack on Ukraine's critical and fuel infrastructure. A filling station complex belonging to Ukrnafta, the largest national oil production and fuel retail company, located in the Dnipropetrovsk region, came under enemy drone fire.

Details of the Drone Attack

According to Bohdan Kukura, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC Ukrnafta, writing on his official Facebook page, Russian forces employed a double-tap tactic. The enemy FPV drones attacked the same fuel facility twice with a short interval, attempting to inflict maximum damage on the infrastructure and cause a large-scale fire involving petroleum products.

Consequences for Infrastructure and Personnel

Despite the high precision and repeated nature of the strikes, there were no human casualties. Thanks to prompt evacuation, strict adherence to safety protocols during air raid alerts, and the coordinated actions of the staff, employees and accidental visitors at the filling station complex were not injured. The facility itself sustained material damage of varying severity.

Systemic Nature of Attacks on Fuel Stations

Experts note that this incident is not an isolated case, but fits into a general trend of systematic strikes by the Russian army on Ukrnafta's fuel network facilities. Previously, similar attacks were recorded in other regions of Ukraine, particularly in Kyiv, where in September the company's filling stations in the Holosiivskyi and Darnitskyi districts came under enemy drone fire, indicating the enemy's attempts to destabilize the domestic fuel market.
