Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has made a strong statement regarding the escalation of tensions on the European continent. According to him, sabotage, cyberattacks, and other hostile actions organized under false flags have crossed the line of so-called hybrid threats and have effectively turned into full-scale military operations. The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry stressed that such incidents are accompanied by human casualties and targeted strikes against critical infrastructure.
The core of the problem and scale of sabotage
In his interview, the minister noted that European partners sometimes find it psychologically difficult to call a spade a spade and acknowledge the true nature of the threats. Nevertheless, the facts speak for themselves: the increasing number of arsons, sabotage at transport hubs, cyberattacks, and attempts to destabilize the situation in European Union countries bear direct signs of aggressive military actions. Regions bordering the conflict zone, where regular airspace violations and provocations are recorded, are of particular concern.NATO's reaction and Poland's stance
The issue of infrastructure security has already become a subject of emergency discussions at the North Atlantic Alliance headquarters. NATO has repeatedly called on member states to prepare for a new wave of sabotage and to strengthen security measures. In particular, Polish officials have openly stated that Russian special services have stepped up their activities aimed at destroying the supply chains through which Ukraine is supported. Railways, bridges, and strategic border crossings are in the high-risk zone. The need for an adequate response
The Ukrainian side insists that the current situation requires a fundamentally new level of response from the collective West. Political statements and expressions of concern are no longer enough — preventive security measures, a fierce crackdown on agent networks, and a revision of the European security architecture are necessary to address the realities of hybrid-military aggression.
