South Korea's Samsung is preparing to launch the new entry-level Galaxy F70 5G smartphone, which the company positions as a "budget device with sub-flagship features." This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing data from NotebookCheck. The official presentation of the device is scheduled for Sunday, October 18, and according to preliminary information, the estimated price of the new product will be around 211 dollars. Thus, Samsung intends to transfer a number of technologies previously characteristic of more expensive lineups to an affordable price segment.
Design and Screen Protection
A key focus of the new model is display protection: the Galaxy F70 5G screen is covered with durable Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, which provides high resistance to scratches and drops and was previously associated primarily with flagship models. The body itself is made with a flat plastic frame, and a teardrop notch is provided at the top of the panel for the front camera. The device's display is built on a Super AMOLED matrix, which is also a notable advantage for a device at this price point.
Triple Camera with Optical Stabilization
Regarding photography, the Galaxy F70 features a 50-megapixel main sensor equipped with an optical image stabilization (OIS) system, which helps capture clearer shots in low light and while in motion. It is complemented by two auxiliary modules: a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens for wide shots and a 2-megapixel macro camera for close-ups. This combination makes the triple camera one of the model's main selling points in its price segment.
Hardware and Battery Life
Performance is handled by the proprietary octa-core Samsung Exynos 1330 processor, in which two high-performance ARM Cortex-A78 cores work in tandem with six energy-efficient Cortex-A55 cores. Autonomy is provided by a 5000 mAh battery with support for wired charging up to 25W via a USB-C port. Other features include an NFC chip for contactless payments, as well as support for highlighting and object search on the screen via the Google Circle to Search tool.
Price, Presentation Date, and What to Expect
Samsung will reveal the full list of specifications and the exact start dates for sales during the official presentation scheduled for October 18. For now, according to preliminary data, the estimated cost of the Galaxy F70 5G is around 211 dollars, which solidifies the device in the category of affordable 5G smartphones. Final specifications, color options, and regional availability will be known immediately after the announcement.
