Shelf Shortages: Consequences of Strikes on Infrastructure
Temporary shortages of "Snow Panda" brand products and other popular domestic brands are being observed in Ukrainian supermarkets. Company representatives explained the situation as a consequence of a large-scale missile strike on a production facility, as well as attacks on the logistics hubs of major retail chains. Despite active restoration efforts, fully resuming the product range will take time.
"We need to share the current status of product availability. Despite all our efforts and daily work on restoration, we need time to fully replenish the entire assortment. Therefore, some of your usual products may be temporarily unavailable," the company's press service stated.
Strike on Production Facility in Odesa Region
According to sources, including Focus.ua and Ukranews, a missile strike was carried out on a production facility in the Odesa region specializing in the production of toilet paper and paper products. The attack caused a fire, part of the building was destroyed, and there are casualties. Photos and videos from the scene show significant damage to the roof and load-bearing structures, confirming the scale of destruction.
Logistical Disruptions Worsen the Situation
In addition to direct damage to production, the company points to additional difficulties caused by attacks on partners' logistics networks. This led to temporary disruptions in supply chains, exacerbating the shortage on shelves. "We and our partners are doing everything possible to return every favorite product to its place as soon as possible," the company emphasized.
