On the evening of September 26, 2026, an extraordinary incident involving a soldier on leave occurred in the city of Sheptytskyi, Lviv region. According to law enforcement agencies, the 36-year-old man instigated a conflict with local residents on Taras Shevchenko Avenue, which resulted in the use of an explosive device. The grenade detonation left four people injured, including three women aged 17, 18, and 56, as well as a 26-year-old man.
