In the Khmelnytskyi region, a shortened curfew will be introduced starting October 1, 2026, which will now run exclusively from 00:00 to 04:00 AM. The corresponding decision was made following an official meeting of the region's Defense Council and formalized by a special order signed by the head of the regional military administration, Serhii Tiurin.

Reasons for Changing Night Restrictions

The decision to ease security measures was made against the backdrop of comprehensive recommendations from the central government aimed at maximum support for Ukrainian business, stable development of transport infrastructure, and logistics chains. In addition, local authorities took into account official appeals from the Khmelnytskyi City Council, which insisted on the necessity of uninterrupted operation of utility services and public transport during the night.

Security Conditions and Regime Flexibility

Despite the easing, the leadership of the regional administration emphasizes the temporary and adaptive nature of the innovations. In the event of a deterioration in the current security situation or the emergence of new risks, the Defense Council reserves the right to promptly review the current curfew schedule and return to previous restrictions.

Nationwide Trend Across Regions

The Khmelnytskyi region has joined the nationwide trend of revising the nighttime regime. Earlier, similar steps to shorten the duration of the curfew were taken by the authorities of the Vinnytsia region, establishing restrictions from 01:00 to 05:00, as well as the Mykolaiv region in the south of the country, where the timeframes for nighttime bans were also reduced.
