On the evening of July 12, an incident involving an armed drone occurred in the Central district of Kherson. Russian forces attacked a civilian car, which caught fire and suffered critical damage as a result of the impact. Firefighting efforts to extinguish the vehicle are ongoing.

Official information regarding the incident was confirmed by the Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Alexander Prokudin. In his statement, he emphasized that enemy formations continue to use drones to terrorize the civilian population and attack civilian transport.

Casualties and consequences

Two civilians were injured as a result of the attack. Among the wounded are a 51-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman. Both victims were promptly transported to a medical facility where they are receiving necessary assistance. The health condition of the injured is assessed as stable; they are under medical supervision.

Witnesses of the incident report that the strike was sudden, occurring in the evening when traffic in the area was active. The car targeted by the attack burned completely, turning into a heap of metal and ash.

In his statement, Alexander Prokudin urged citizens to observe safety measures and remain vigilant on the roads, as the threat of attacks using drones remains high. The regional administration continues to monitor the situation and coordinate the actions of emergency services to minimize the consequences of such incidents.
