A tragic incident occurred in the Krasnohryhorivka community of the Nikopol district in the Dnipropetrovsk region. A Russian FPV drone carried out a targeted strike on a scheduled minibus carrying civilians. As a result of the attack, the vehicle was completely burned down, and there are casualties among the passengers, including a minor.
Scale of the tragedy and casualties
Alexander Ganja, the head of the regional military administration, confirmed the attack. According to him, the strike resulted in injuries to at least seven people. Particular concern is caused by the condition of two men, who were hospitalized in critical condition. A 16-year-old teenager was also among the injured.
The situation at the scene was critical. The minibus, which became the target of the enemy attack, burned to the ground. Rescuers and police officers promptly arrived at the scene, evacuated people from the danger zone, and transported them to medical facilities for emergency care.
Nature of the attack
Representatives of the State Emergency Service (SES) provided details of the incident. According to them, the strike occurred about an hour ago. Operational services characterize the incident as a "targeted and cynical strike against civilians." The use of FPV drones to attack public transport indicates a deliberate choice of targets unrelated to military infrastructure.
Context of escalation
This event is not isolated. In recent days, Russian forces have intensified shelling of civilian settlements in various regions of Ukraine. Earlier, there were reports of a strike on a multi-story residential building in the center of one of the cities, where rescuers were clearing rubble in search of victims. Furthermore, in the Odesa region, two children were injured as a result of drone attacks, with doctors assessing the condition of one as critical. These facts confirm the systematic nature of the threat to the civilian population.
