The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, has called on Ukrainian society and the government to focus on the war and develop an effective strategy that will lead to victory over Russia. In his view, internal debates should not distract from the main goal — the liberation of the country.

Recognition of Merits and a Hint at Political Events

In his Telegram message, cited by RBC-Ukraine, Syrskyi expressed pride in the successful defense of Kyiv in 2022. Thanks to this operation, the capital remained in Ukrainian hands, and now it is precisely here that important briefings can take place, strategic visions can be formed, and key decisions can be made.

These words came against the backdrop of a briefing by Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, which took place in Kyiv on July 16. Syrskyi, obviously, had this event in mind, emphasizing the importance of stability and unity in wartime.

Promises for the Future and Support for the Team

The Commander-in-Chief promised to do everything possible so that such events could take place in a free and independent Ukraine. He emphasized that to achieve this goal, it is necessary to focus on the war and the strategy that is already demonstrating concrete results.

"I thank Mykhailo Fedorov for his work as Minister of Defense of Ukraine. I wish him to remain in the team of Ukraine. Together to Victory!" — wrote Syrskyi, expressing support for the current minister.

Political Context and International Reaction

It is worth noting that earlier RBC-Ukraine reported on Fedorov's proposal to President Zelenskyy to replace Syrskyi and Hnatov. It also became known what position the president offered to the current head of the Ministry of Defense.

In addition, the European Union expects explanations from Zelenskyy regarding the possible resignation of Fedorov. This indicates that the situation around key figures of Ukrainian power remains tense and requires careful monitoring.

Thus, Syrskyi's statement can be viewed as an attempt to consolidate efforts around military strategy and avoid a split within the command and government at a critical moment of the war.
