Well-known Ukrainian actress Tamara Yatsenko has fallen victim to telephone scammers who tried to intimidate her with fabricated accusations of aiding Russian terrorism and demanded a large fine. The incident occurred on August 19, on the actress's birthday, when the perpetrators contacted her posing as law enforcement officers.
Details of the Phone Call and Threats from the Perpetrators
The call came from a Ukrainian number, and the interlocutor introduced himself as a police colonel. Initially, the conversation concerned blood pressure and heart medications that the actress had previously ordered via the internet, but soon the tone of the conversation changed sharply. The perpetrator stated that Yatsenko was allegedly involved in terrorism and demanded the payment of a fine of up to two million, threatening otherwise to bring her to justice with an urgent subpoena.
The actress noted that the interlocutor named her exact address and apartment number, which increased the pressure. However, during the conversation, the artist decided to find out exactly who she was talking to and reminded the scammer of her acquaintance with the country's top leadership. She asked the perpetrator if he knew who he was calling and mentioned that she could consult with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, with whom she had recently filmed.

During a trip to Moscow for a reunion of her theater institute alumni, she found herself in a situation where she had to pay for all participants of a group dinner at a restaurant, but the money promised by her former classmates was never returned to her.
