Operations to eliminate the consequences of a massive night attack launched by Russian forces against the region's logistics infrastructure continue in the Kyiv region. The tragedy has claimed the lives of civilians, and traces of destruction and human losses have been discovered at railway hubs.
Bodies of the Deceased on the Railway Platform
According to an official statement by Ukrzaliznytsia, bodies of the deceased were discovered on the territory of a railway platform in the Brovary district. The tragic discovery was made in close proximity to logistics centers that became the target of the night strike.
Representatives of the carrier confirmed the fact of casualties: "According to operational information, there are deceased persons found on the territory of the railway platform near the attacked logistics centers." At the moment, emergency services continue to work at the scene, and large-scale restoration work is underway.
Consequences for the Transport System
The massive combined attack led to critical disruptions in the operation of railway transport. Train movement and station activities were forced to be suspended. As part of safety measures, station personnel and train passengers were evacuated.
"Ukrzaliznytsia" promised to promptly inform about the resumption of movement, but warned that during periods of massive attacks, the company would be forced to operate in a special mode. The carrier apologized for possible schedule disruptions and expressed sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and those injured in the Kyiv region and the capital.
Results of the Night Strike on the Region
The night air raid caused the death of at least 14 civilians. The highest number of casualties was recorded in the Brovary district, where nine people died. In the Bucha district, the enemy strike claimed the lives of four more civilians, and one person died in the Fastiv district.
According to the latest data, 22 residents of the region were injured. In the Brovary district, medical assistance was required for 12 victims, in the Fastiv district — three, and in the Bucha district — seven. The work of rescuers and doctors continues.
