On July 23, Pavlohrad once again became a target of Russian aviation. Three guided aerial bombs (KABs) struck a production complex housing partner enterprises of the Star Brands group — one of Ukraine’s largest snack manufacturers.
Attacks on Infrastructure and People
Preliminary data indicates the city suffered several powerful explosions. Witnesses report four blasts, three of which hit the production complex and adjacent areas directly. The attack resulted in three fatalities and 28 injuries — all victims have been hospitalized.
"The most painful loss is human life. Guided aerial bombs are a terrifying weapon and a new threat to Pavlohrad, which has already endured the consequences of powerful KAB strikes for several days," stated Star Brands.
Destruction and Recovery Plans
The facilities sustained serious damage and destruction. The full extent of the damage is still being assessed. The company notes that the complex is equipped with both stationary and mobile shelters located in different areas — designed to ensure rapid evacuation of personnel in case of threat.
"An assessment of the consequences is underway, and priority measures to resume operations of the production complex are being determined," the statement added.
History of Attacks on Pavlohrad
This is not the first strike on the city. On July 20, Russia used KABs against Pavlohrad for the first time — then 11 people, including a 13-year-old girl, were hospitalized in moderate condition. Even earlier, on April 7, Russian forces attacked Star Brands’ warehouses with an attack drone — the third such incident in a year. Similar strikes were also recorded in April and November 2025.
Pavlohrad is becoming increasingly vulnerable amid escalating hostilities. Each new strike represents not only infrastructure destruction but also human tragedies that cannot be measured in tons or square meters.
