President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev made a resonant statement during his visit to Berlin and a joint press conference with German Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz. The Kazakh leader characterized Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin as an outstanding statesman who is the most acceptable political figure for Central Asia, Europe, and the entire world. Explaining the official stance of Astana, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized that since the very beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Kazakhstan has strictly adhered to the fundamental provisions of the UN Charter. The president expressed deep respect for the Ukrainian people, their historical heritage, culture, traditions, and native language.
