US President Donald Trump reacted sharply to the situation involving the massive influx of migrants into the Spanish enclave of Ceuta during a Cabinet meeting. According to him, what is happening resembles not just a migration crisis, but a full-scale invasion.
"It is akin to an invasion of hundreds of thousands of people"
Speaking to members of the government, Trump stated that he personally observed the "catastrophe" unfolding in Spain. He emphasized that the scale of events in Ceuta goes beyond ordinary human movement.
"It is akin to an invasion of hundreds of thousands of people into a country," noted the American leader. "They are invading the country. It is happening again today".
Comparison with the Future of the US
Trump did not limit himself to stating facts but drew a direct parallel with the political situation in the United States. He expressed confidence that a similar scenario could be repeated on American soil if the Republican Party loses the upcoming midterm elections.
"The same will happen to us if Republicans are not elected, only worse — much worse," the president warned. In his opinion, Spain is currently in a state of confusion and does not know how to react to the situation.
Scale of Events and Europe's Reaction
According to data previously reported by RBC-Ukraine, about 60,000 people broke into the city of Ceuta in a single day. This "wave" indeed flooded the enclave, creating a humanitarian and logistical problem.
In response to the crisis, European Commissioner for Migration Magnus Brunner called the situation "unacceptable," but assured that further mass movement of people deep into European Union countries would not occur.

The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andrii Sybiga, stated that pro-Russian networks are actively using photos from the Spanish enclave. According to him, the goal of this campaign is to destabilize European Union countries.
