US President Donald Trump has once again called on the parties to the conflict in Ukraine — Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Vladimir Putin — to end the war. This was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing a statement by the White House chief published on the social network X.
"I Want to End the War"
Trump positively assessed the meeting held the previous day with the Ukrainian leader. According to him, the dialogue was constructive, and Zelenskyy is "doing his job." However, the American president emphasized the main goal: "I would like him to put an end to the war. So it's very simple".
Responding to questions about his relations with the leaders of the two countries, Trump stated: "I have good relations with both. With President Putin. With President Zelenskyy." He added that he personally conveyed his position to Zelenskyy: "I want to end the war, finish it".
Human Losses as an Argument
In his speech, Trump drew attention to the scale of the tragedy taking place on the battlefield. He noted that thousands of people are dying in the war and cited a specific figure: according to his data, 25,000 people died in the past month alone. This statistic became one of the key arguments in his call for a peaceful settlement.
