A new wave of rumors has erupted in Ukraine's information space. Alarming reports about a night-time strike on the Bortnychi aeration station in Kyiv began circulating online. However, official representatives of the military structures reacted promptly to these reports, labeling them unverified.

According to data obtained by RBC-Ukraine from the press secretary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Dmytro Lykhoviy, information about the strike on the station is currently unconfirmed. The official emphasized that, despite the lack of confirmation, Kyiv is not immune from such threats in the future, but the current reports are premature.
Call for Critical Thinking and Fact-Checking
Dmytro Lykhoviy appealed to citizens to consider the motives behind the spread of fabricated "scare tactics." He urged people to draw conclusions from such situations to avoid falling into panic. The speaker also paid special attention to the work of the media, strongly recommending that publications verify any information through official reports from the State Emergency Service (SES) before publishing.

Against the backdrop of regular Russian shelling, disinformation about allegedly struck infrastructure or military objects frequently appears online.
