The Defense Forces of Ukraine have carried out a series of successful strikes against key military targets of the Russian army, including radar stations in the Belgorod region, command posts, and troop concentration areas across several directions. This was reported on October 25, 2026, by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, emphasizing the strategic importance of these operations in weakening the adversary's capabilities in the airspace and on the frontline.
Strikes on Radar Stations in the Belgorod Region
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, units of the Defense Forces attacked Russian army radar stations near the settlements of Gostishchevo and Kurgannoye in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation. Such systems are used by the armed forces to detect air targets and monitor the airspace.
The destruction or damage of these facilities creates serious gaps in the enemy's radar field. The military department explained that this directly expands the capabilities of Ukrainian units to effectively deploy unmanned aerial systems and other engagement means at various levels.
Destruction of Command Posts and Control Points
In addition to radar stations, the Ukrainian military delivered effective strikes against facilities used to coordinate and control Russian units. Specifically, a command post in the area of Tarasovka in the Zaporizhzhia region came under fire.
A similar strike hit the enemy's command and observation post near Gлая Pristan in the Kherson region. Such infrastructure targets are responsible for transmitting operational commands, and putting them out of action significantly disrupts troop actions on the battlefield and complicates interaction between units.
Attacks on Personnel Concentration Areas and General Situation
A separate focus of Ukrainian operations was strikes on areas where enemy manpower was concentrated. In the Donetsk region, fire damage was recorded near Nikolayevka and Novoukrainka, while in the Zaporizhzhia region, strikes hit areas near Berdyansk, Okhrimovka, and Tarasovka.
The General Staff emphasized that the Defense Forces of Ukraine will continue to systematically destroy important enemy military targets until the armed aggression is completely stopped. Previously, the Ukrainian side also reported hits on major enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex in the Oryol and Samara regions.
Significance of the Operations for Further Combat Actions
The systematic destruction of radar stations, command posts, and logistical hubs demonstrates a shift in approaches toward weakening military infrastructure. The resulting gaps in the defense and control systems of the Russian army reduce the overall stability of the troops and open new tactical opportunities for Ukrainian units.
