The 2026 European Aquatics Championships in Paris are underway, where the Ukrainian team continues to reap a rich harvest of medals. This time, success came to the Ukrainian divers in the discipline of synchronized 10-meter platform diving. Kseniya Baylo and Sofia Vystavkina climbed onto the podium, winning bronze medals.

Dramatic finale and the decisive dive

The tandem of experienced Kseniya Baylo and 17-year-old debutant Sofia Vystavkina was one of seven duets that advanced to the final. The start of the competition for the "blue and yellows" did not go very well. After the first two attempts with a basic difficulty coefficient, the Ukrainians held fourth place, and by the end of the third round, they dropped to fifth.

The turning point came in the fourth round. The athletes risked declaring a dive with a high difficulty coefficient. The brilliant execution of this element brought them 75.84 points from the judges. This score was the highest among all finalists for a single attempt, allowing the Ukrainian duo to make a rapid leap into the medal zone.

Results and records

A total score of 286.20 points secured the bronze medals for the Ukrainians. In the fight for the podium, our athletes were surpassed only by representatives of Great Britain and Germany.

This award became the second for the Ukrainian diving team at the current European Championships. Earlier, Kseniya Baylo also won bronze in the mixed team tournament.

For 17-year-old Sofia Vystavkina, this result became her first medal success at senior European Championships. Her experienced partner, Kseniya Baylo, added her 14th continental championship award to her collection, six of which are gold.
