From September 2 to 6, 2026, Kyiv will once again become the center of the Ukrainian fashion industry: the capital will host Ukrainian Fashion Week SS27 — a season themed around the modern reinterpretation of Ukrainian crafts and handmade work. Despite the challenging circumstances in which the domestic fashion scene operates, the country's main fashion event promises to be a rich one: the program includes dozens of shows, conferences, exhibitions, and award ceremonies. The Wave RBC.UA editorial team has selected ten events worth adding to your schedule to see the highlights and discover new names in Ukrainian fashion.
Season Opening: Business Conference and the First Show
The Ukrainian Fashion Week SS27 program will open on September 2 with the business conference "New Rules of the Game. Strategies for Sustainability and Real Sales 2026/27," to be held at GUM Kyiv. This year, the focus of the discussion shifts to practical questions: how Ukrainian fashion brands can adapt to new consumer behavior, build sustainable sales, enter international markets, and turn marketing and PR into measurable commercial results. On the same day, September 2, the show the COAT by Katya Silchenko will take place — a brand that remains one of the notable participants of the Ukrainian fashion scene. Its collection will be part of a season in which traditional techniques and handmade work receive a new interpretation in contemporary design.
Established Names: VOROZHBYT&ZEMSKOVA, DARJA DONEZZ, and CHUPRINA
On September 5, the schedule features several shows that are being watched with particular attention. VOROZHBYT&ZEMSKOVA is one of the few Ukrainian brands that participated in the very first Ukrainian Fashion Week and has remained an active participant of the fashion scene ever since. The brand has been present in the UFW program almost every season, remaining part of the history of Ukrainian Fashion Week for over three decades. On the same day, DARJA DONEZZ will present a collection — a brand that each time invites the audience into a fairy-tale world created by designer Darya Donezz. In the SS27 season, it is especially interesting to see what is new in the brand's worldview and how it sounds in a time when there is much chaos and uncertainty around. Also on September 5, the show CHUPRINA will take place — one of the brands that have long formed a recognizable language of Ukrainian fashion.
New Voices: the ii Brand, the "Gaze into the Future" Competition, and the Kachorovska's Emerging Brands Prize
Alongside experienced participants, new names are appearing in the SS27 program. In particular, on September 5, the collection of ii will be shown — a young brand that is worth following right now, at the stage of its active formation and search for its own language. Young designers have traditionally been an important part of the UFW ecosystem: this season, the final of the "Gaze into the Future" competition has also been included in the official program. A separate point of support for the new generation is the Kachorovska's Emerging Brands Prize (September 5) — an award for young brands participating in Ukrainian Fashion Week, which became a continuation of Kachorovska's initiative to support emerging Ukrainian designers.
Behind the Craft and GUNIA Project: Craft as the Foundation of the Season
A special place in the program is occupied by the GUNIA Project presentation (September 5), which organically fits into the main theme of UFW SS27. The co-founders and creative directors of the brand, Mariia Havryliuk and Natalka Kamianska, also served as curators of the season's main exhibition, Behind the Craft. The exhibition, which will take place from September 4 to 6, will present over 70 looks from Ukrainian fashion brands and objects of product design, demonstrating the paths by which handmade work and craft are integrated into the contemporary fashion context.
International Vector: FROLOV and the First Show of BALYKINA
On September 6, the show FROLOV will take place — one of the most well-known Ukrainian brands beyond Ukraine. Its presence in the season is an opportunity to see the new collection by designer Ivan Frolov and to trace how Ukrainian fashion continues to work simultaneously with the local context and an international audience. And on September 3, BALYKINA will burst into the Kyiv UFW schedule for the first time: the brand has already presented its collections at Paris Fashion Week twice, met with international buyers, and attracted the attention of the global fashion community. The first show within the framework of Ukrainian Fashion Week will give the audience the opportunity to see live a brand that has already made a name for itself far beyond Ukraine.
