Between October 3 and 4, 2026, the Defense Forces of Ukraine carried out a series of successful high-precision operations aimed at destroying critical military infrastructure belonging to the Russian occupation forces. According to official information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the strikes hit both frontline areas in Ukraine and military facilities inside the Russian Federation. This large-scale combat operation represents another step in systematically weakening the offensive potential of the enemy waging an aggressive war.
Destruction of the Buk-M3 SAM System and Drone Base
One of the most significant results of the past day was the destruction of a Russian Buk-M3 anti-aircraft missile system near the settlement of Kuroshany in the Zaporizhzhia region. The cost and technological complexity of such a system make it an extremely valuable target. Simultaneously, Ukrainian fighters struck the Donetsk area, where a major storage, preparation, and launch site for enemy strike drones was located. Eliminating such bases directly reduces the intensity of aerial terror against peaceful Ukrainian cities.
Strikes on Electronic Warfare and Communication Facilities
In addition to air defense systems and UAV bases, the Ukrainian army is methodically destroying enemy logistics, communication systems, and electronic warfare assets. Specifically, an enemy electronic warfare (EW) station was successfully hit near the town of Klimovo in Russia's Bryansk region, significantly reducing the enemy's ability to coordinate actions and protect its positions. At the same time, important telecommunication hubs of Russian units were struck in the occupied settlements of Hirnyk, Yasynuvata, and Donetsk.
Liquidation of Repair Bases in the Luhansk Region
Another crucial component of weakening the enemy was the strike on repair units of the occupiers in the areas of Vesela Tarasivka and Lysychansk in the Luhansk region. The systematic destruction of repair infrastructure deprives Russian troops of the ability to quickly return damaged armored vehicles and artillery to service. The General Staff emphasizes that Ukrainian forces will continue delivering precision strikes against all priority military targets of the aggressor until the country's territorial integrity is fully restored.
