For Ukrainian military personnel, who often have to travel across the country to fulfill official duties or personal needs, the procedure for purchasing railway tickets has been simplified. "Ukrzaliznytsia" has integrated the service for purchasing travel documents into the state mobile application "Army+".

New Ticket Purchase Format

Defenders can now order train tickets directly through the application interface. This allows them to avoid queues at ticket offices and save time. The system operates in full anonymity: creating a separate account in the passenger's name is not required to make a purchase.

There is a clear time regulation for purchasing tickets through the application. An order can be placed within the interval from 5 days to 6 hours before the train departs from the initial station. This allows for advance trip planning while leaving room for more urgent travel.

How to Receive and Save the Ticket

After successful payment and order placement, the travel document must be saved for presentation to conductors. The application offers two convenient ways to save the ticket:

  • Download the ticket in PDF format via the "Show PDF ticket" menu.
  • Specify an email address during purchase to receive a copy of the document in your inbox.

For those who prefer the traditional method of interacting with the carrier, the option remains to submit an application for ticket collection directly at the railway ticket office. In this case, the passenger must provide their personal data, desired route, and train number.

Benefits and Additional Services

In addition to ordering convenience, military personnel and their relatives have access to special travel conditions. There is special reservation for defenders, as well as legally provided discounts and the right to free travel depending on the category.

It is important to note that some citizens of Ukraine are entitled to free tickets or 50% discounts depending on the benefit category and season. "Ukrzaliznytsia" regularly updates information on available benefits.

Comfort on the Road

Passengers of Ukrainian trains have access not only to benefits but also to digital services. Free Wi-Fi, provided via the Starlink satellite system, is now operational in "Intercity" high-speed trains and on certain long-distance routes. This allows passengers to stay connected even while on the move.

The issue of pricing remains relevant for all passengers. "Ukrzaliznytsia" has clarified that ticket prices are formed based on a number of factors, and the company continues to monitor the situation to inform citizens of possible changes in tariffs.
