The 2026 FIFA World Cup Final in New Jersey gathered on the stadium stands not only fans of the "La Roja" but also stars from other sports. The main highlight of the VIP zone was an unexpected, yet logical alliance of two legends: the undisputed heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk and the Spanish national team defender Sergio Ramos.
The Ukrainian boxer, who has previously noted Ramos as one of the most impressive stars of the Spanish team, met the footballer in person. In the footage that appeared on social media, the athletes are seen warmly congratulating each other, exchanging firm handshakes and friendly words.
United Support for One Team
Oleksandr Usyk did not hide his sympathies, publishing a video with Ramos on Instagram. In the caption to the clip, the boxer wrote: "Great to see you. We support the same team. Come on, Spain!". This moment became a vivid confirmation that sports unite people regardless of their disciplines.
Usyk did not attend the decisive match alone. His wife, Kateryna, was sitting next to him in the stands. Furthermore, other famous representatives of Ukrainian sports were also in the company of the Ukrainian champion.
Ukrainian Delegation in the Stands
Among the guests of the final was the President of the Ukrainian Association of Football, Andriy Shevchenko, who took a photo with Usyk. Also present at the stadium was the Ukrainian national team player Oleksandr Zinchenko together with his wife, Vlada Sedan. Notably, Zinchenko, like Usyk, was cheering for the Spanish national team that evening.
The Spanish national team became world champions for the second time in its history. The solemn award ceremony took place with the participation of the FIFA President and Donald Trump, who presented the trophy to the winners. For Usyk and Ramos, this final was not just a sporting event, but an opportunity to communicate personally and share the joy of victory.
