Ukrainian forward of Catalan club Girona, Vladyslav Vanat, became the main protagonist of the latest round in the Spanish Segunda. In the match against Celta B, the forward not only scored three goals but also provided an assist, securing the first hat-trick of his professional career. For this performance, the SofaScore statistical portal gave the Ukrainian the maximum rating of 10 out of 10, and the team of the round, based on the portal's data, included Vanat in the list of the best players of the second Spanish division. This was reported by Sport RBC.UA citing SofaScore.
Goal-Scoring Show in the 11th Round
The 11th round fixture of the Segunda between Girona and Celta B ended in a convincing 5-1 victory for the Catalans, and Vanat was precisely the key figure of this rout. According to statistical summaries, the Ukrainian opened the scoring in the 17th minute and converted a penalty in the 29th minute to claim a brace; his third goal completed the hat-trick. In addition to three goals, the forward also contributed an assist, bringing his total to four direct goal involvements in a single match.
First Hat-Trick in Professional Career
For Vanat, this hat-trick was his debut at the professional level. Previously, the forward demonstrated high scoring efficiency with Dynamo Kyiv, where, according to available data, he was the team's top scorer, but he had never scored three times in a single match before. Thus, his performance in the Segunda became a new personal milestone for the Ukrainian that he failed to achieve even in more prestigious competitions.
Maximum Rating and Leadership in the Scoring Race
This stellar performance earned Vanat the maximum rating from SofaScore — 10 points, which is the highest score a player can receive for a match. Furthermore, following the round, he was recognized as the best player in the second Spanish division. Since the start of the current season, the forward has already scored five goals, confirming his status as one of Girona's most effective players in the current championship.
Prospects and Transfer Rumors
Vanat's current form has once again drawn attention to his transfer prospects. According to reports, last summer the Ukrainian forward tried to leave Girona following the team's relegation. At the same time, it was previously reported that the Ukraine national team forward could change clubs again during the winter transfer window. His bright performance in the Segunda and exceptional individual statistics only intensify interest in the further development of his career.
