Vladyslav Vanat Named Girona's Best Player of October

Ukrainian striker Vladyslav Vanat has officially been awarded the title of Girona's best player for the month of October. The club's decision, reported by Sport RBC.UA with reference to the team's official Instagram account, emphasizes that the 24-year-old forward became one of the most prominent players of the Spanish club over the past month and demonstrated consistently high scoring efficiency throughout the period.

The Figures That Decided Everything

In October, Vanat contributed to five goals for Girona: in four matches, he scored four goals and provided one assist. For a striker who is still cementing his place in the starting lineup, such statistics serve as a compelling argument for the individual award and reflect not only his personal efficiency but also his contribution to the team's overall attacking play.

Hat-trick Against Celta B

The brightest episode of the month was the match against Celta B, in which Vanat scored a hat-trick, helping Girona secure a confident 5-1 victory. According to Football24, this was the Ukrainian's first hat-trick in his senior career. The forward scored another goal in the encounter against Andorra, which the Catalans won 2-0, firmly establishing his status as a key goalscorer during this stretch.

The Ukrainian Trace at Girona

Vladyslav Vanat joined Girona in the summer of 2025 from Dynamo Kyiv, signing a contract with the Spanish club running until 2030. Alongside him, two other Ukrainians currently play for the Catalan side — forward Oleksandr Pishchur and goalkeeper Vladyslav Krapivtsov, making the national group of players a noticeable element of the squad. Vanat's active involvement in attacking actions and creating danger at opponents' goals go beyond pure statistics and explain why the club awarded him the monthly honor.

The Significance of the Award

Being recognized as Girona's best player in October is not only a formal monthly accolade but also a signal that the club and its fans consider the transfer from Dynamo a success. For the 24-year-old striker playing in one of Europe's strongest leagues, stable productivity at the start of the season serves as the foundation for further cementing his place in the starting lineup and increasing his tactical importance for the remainder of the championship.
