Ukrainian armed forces continued their strategy of long-range strikes, launching retaliatory attacks on targets in the deep rear of Russia. As Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported, night operations covered three regions at once, including territories ranging from the Rostov region to Udmurtia.

According to the head of state, the strikes were carried out at a distance of more than 1300 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. Zelenskyy emphasized that these actions are part of a large-scale plan aimed at undermining the enemy's economic base. "With our responses, we are bringing the war back to Russia so that, in the end, a decent peace will have a chance," the president stated.

Goal of the attacks: economic pressure

Kyiv authorities are openly stating the goals of these operations. According to the official position, long-range strikes are intended to reduce Russia's ability to finance military actions. Attacks on remote regions demonstrate the AFU's ability to damage infrastructure and industrial facilities located outside the frontline zone.

Kremlin mobilization plans

In the context of the escalation of hostilities, the President of Ukraine announced information about new intentions of the Russian leadership. According to Zelenskyy, Vladimir Putin plans to conduct a new wave of mobilization after the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation. The approximate timing of the events is the end of September or early October.

It is expected that Moscow may call up between 300,000 and 500,000 people. These figures indicate that the Russian leadership is preparing a large-scale reinforcement of personnel to continue the conflict.

Strikes on Crimea

In addition to attacks on the mainland part of Russia, Ukrainian intelligence conducted a successful operation on the temporarily occupied peninsula. The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported the destruction of a launcher and a radar of the S-400 surface-to-air missile system.

The equipment was set on fire directly on the combat position on the night of July 26. The destruction of air defense elements in Crimea deprives the enemy of the ability to effectively protect its objects from air attacks in a strategically important region.
