Rainfall on this day is not widespread — brief showers and thunderstorms are possible only locally in western Ukraine, mainly during the daytime. The wind will predominantly be southeasterly, at 7–12 m/s, which overall corresponds to a calm summer regime.
West under a yellow warning: wind gusts up to 20 m/s
The main meteorological risk of the weekend, according to experts at the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, is the western regions. There, during the daytime, noticeable wind gusts of 15–20 m/s are expected, which is why a first-level (yellow) danger warning has been issued. Meteorologists emphasize that such conditions may lead to local complications, so residents and visitors of the western regions are advised to be careful outdoors, not to leave cars under dry trees or unsecured structures, and to plan their trips taking into account the possible reduction in visibility during thunderstorms.
Kyiv: no precipitation on Saturday, warming by Monday
For the capital and the Kyiv region, the forecast for Saturday, August 29, looks calmer than the overall picture: variable cloud cover and no precipitation. Already on Sunday, August 30, according to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center's schedule, the nighttime temperature in Kyiv will drop to about +18°C, while during the day the air will warm up to around +26°C. The last day of summer — Monday, August 31 — may turn out to be even warmer for Kyiv residents and visitors: at night, against the backdrop of possible precipitation, thermometers will show an average of about +17°C, while during the day around +28°C is expected.

Overall, for the period of August 29–31, according to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center's forecast, the precipitation zone will gradually shift across the country, so the weather picture in different regions will vary over the course of the weekend.
