This means the weather will be predominantly dry throughout the day, which is characteristic of the so-called 'young Indian summer' that, according to several publications, has already entered a phase of stable warmth.

Warm air from the south and the maximum in the west

The most noticeable warming will be felt by residents of the western regions — that is where the air will heat up the most during the day. During the day, thermometers will show 23 to 28 degrees above zero. It will be cooler in the east and northeast of the country, where 20–25 degrees are expected. Thus, the geographical temperature gradient on Wednesday will be pronounced: from a warmer west to a moderately cool east.

Debunking rumors of +33

Earlier, Natalia Ptukha, head of the media relations department of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, clarified that there is no reason to expect heat reaching +33 degrees in the near future. According to her, readings on balcony thermometers exposed to direct sunlight do not reflect the actual temperature of the air mass, which often leads to inflated 'folk' weather estimates and panic on social media.

The World Meteorological Organization has warned that the El Niño climate phenomenon is intensifying rapidly and could become the most powerful in the last thousand years.
