In the upcoming weekend, July 25–26, Ukraine will be at the center of a weather contrast: some regions will enjoy warmth and sunshine, while others will brace for cool thunderstorms and downpours. This forecast was announced by meteorologist and synoptic Natalka Didenko on her Facebook page, as reported by RBC-Ukraine.
Saturday, July 25: Warmth with Localized Rain
According to Didenko, on Saturday, air temperatures across the country will range from +24...+27°C. The exception will be the western regions, where it will be slightly cooler: around +20...+24°C.
At night, brief showers are possible, but they will only affect certain regions. During the day, precipitation is most likely in the following oblasts:
- Chernivtsi
- Ivano-Frankivsk
- Ternopil
- Lviv
- Zakarpattia
- Vinnytsia
- Khmelnytskyi
- Rivne
- Zhytomyr
- Kyiv
- Cherkasy
- Poltava
- Sumy
- Kharkiv
- Donetsk
- Luhansk
"Those not on these rainy lists — no precipitation," the synoptic emphasized.
Sunday, July 26: Heat in the West, Thunderstorms in the East
On Sunday, temperatures will rise to +25...+29°C across most of the country. However, the eastern regions will remain cooler — around +20...+23°C.
It is here that the synoptic warns of possible heavy downpours, thunderstorms, and squalls: "Be careful," she added. The rest of Ukraine will be sunny and dry on Sunday.
Kyiv: Comfortable Weather Without Precipitation
The capital will avoid significant precipitation this weekend. The only chance of rain is on the night of July 25. Nighttime temperatures in Kyiv will be around +15°C, and on July 26 — already +17°C.
Start of the Week: Temperature "Kangaroo Jumps"
Didenko warned that the start of the next week will bring sharp temperature fluctuations: warming on Monday, followed by cooler weather on Tuesday and Wednesday. However, according to her, August will return to the "classic" — summer heat.
The Last Six Summer Weekends
The synoptic reminded that the upcoming weekend is an ideal opportunity to enjoy comfortable weather: long daylight hours, greenery, fresh vegetables at markets, and the luxury of summer flowers. "There are only six summer weekends left. Don't miss them," she urged.
