November weather in Ukraine is entering its characteristic phase: according to meteorologist and forecaster Natalka Didenko, by Thursday, November 4, 2026, a steadily cool weather pattern is establishing itself across the country, which the expert calls "logical for this season." According to her, air temperatures throughout the day will remain approximately the same — both at night and during the day — ranging between +5…+9 °C, although nighttime readings may drop lower in certain regions. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine citing Didenko's Facebook post.
Anticyclone "Klaus" and Absence of Precipitation
The key factor determining the weather on November 4 is a powerful anticyclone named "Klaus," whose center, according to the forecaster, is located over the North Sea. Its dominance virtually rules out any probability of precipitation across almost the entire territory of Ukraine on this day. "Due to the dominance of a powerful anticyclone named Klaus, no precipitation is expected in Ukraine on Wednesday," Didenko emphasized. Thus, despite the chill, the day will pass without rain or sleet, which is typical for anticyclonic weather.
Strong Northerly Wind and Cold Sensation
At the same time, the meteorologist drew attention to an important detail: on November 4, a strong northerly wind is expected almost everywhere in Ukraine. The intensification of the wind, she said, "noticeably lowers the air temperature," creating the so-called wind chill effect — when the actual sensation of cold significantly exceeds the thermometer readings. In this regard, Didenko gave a practical recommendation: "Scarves and hoods are a must tomorrow." This is especially relevant for those planning to spend time outdoors during the day.
Forecast for Kyiv and the Rest of the Week
No precipitation is expected in the capital throughout November 4 either. According to Didenko, the maximum air temperature in Kyiv will fluctuate between +6 and +8 °C. Until the end of the current week, cold weather with slight positive daytime values will prevail in Ukraine, per her forecast. Over the upcoming weekend, November 7–8, minor sub-zero temperatures are possible at night in certain regions, but "no severe or biting cold is expected," the forecaster noted.
Warming Expected Approximately Around November 10–11
The cold spell, according to Didenko's preliminary estimates, will last roughly until November 10. Starting November 10–11 — meaning from Tuesday and Wednesday of next week — an increase in air temperature is expected in Ukraine. However, the forecaster specified that the warming will be "humid": along with rising temperature indicators, periodic rains will return. Thus, the dry anticyclonic pattern will give way to a milder, yet rainy regime. The forecast for this date remains preliminary, as is any weekly or longer-range meteorological forecast.
