On October 21, warm weather for late autumn will persist in Ukraine: according to the Ukrhydrometeorological Center, daytime temperatures in most regions will reach +12…+17 degrees, while in Transcarpathia and the south of the country, the thermometer readings will climb to +20. At the same time, light rain is expected in some areas, and morning fog may form on the roads, requiring increased driver attention. This is reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing data from the Ukrhydrometeorological Center.
General weather background: high pressure from the northeast
According to forecasters, cloudy weather with sunny spells will prevail across Ukraine. The weather pattern will be influenced by a high-pressure area moving from the northeast, which will help gradually decrease precipitation. This regime is typical for a transition period, when a warm air mass still lingers over most of the territory but no longer provides sustained warming.
Precipitation and fog: where drivers should exercise caution
Spotty light rain is forecasted for October 21 in most regions of Ukraine. The west and southwest of the country are predicted to remain dry. Morning fog is expected in Transcarpathia, Prykarpattya, the southern regions, and most central oblasts. The Ukrhydrometeorological Center reminds that visibility on roads can deteriorate significantly under such conditions, so drivers should account for possible reduced traction and increase following distances.

At night, air temperatures across Ukraine ranged from +6 to +11 degrees, while it was cooler in the Carpathians at 0 to +5. During the day, thermometers will show +12 to +17 degrees, and in Transcarpathia and the south, the air will warm up to +20. The wind will be south-easterly and easterly at 5–10 meters per second, with gusts strengthening to 7–12 m/s in the western oblasts.
Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast
In the capital on October 21, cloudy weather with sunny spells and no precipitation is forecasted, with air temperatures fluctuating between +13 and +15 degrees. In Kyiv Oblast, light rain will occur in some places: night temperatures ranged from +6 to +11, daytime highs are expected to reach +12 to +17, and the wind will be south-easterly at 5–10 m/s.

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that in certain regions of Ukraine, October temperatures exceeded the climatic norm by 5 degrees or more. According to Vitaliy Postrigan, head of the Cherkasy Regional Center for Hydrometeorology, the warmth was brought by an air mass from the Caspian Lowland. Forecasters also note that precipitation in Ukraine should gradually weaken between October 20 and 23: dry weather is expected on October 22, while precipitation is possible in a number of western, central, and southern oblasts on October 23.
