Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on his Telegram channel about the Russian Shahed drone strike on the central park of Nova Vodolaha in the Kharkiv region, which occurred on the afternoon of October 19. The President of Ukraine called the incident an "absolute atrocity" and a "horrific Russian strike," emphasizing that the UAV hit a location where civilians, including families with children, were present at the time of the attack.

Six Dead, Including a One-Year-Old Girl in a Stroller

According to data announced by Zelenskyy, six people were killed as a result of the attack: four adults and two children. The president specifically mentioned the deceased girl Angelina, who was a little over a year old at the time of her death—she was born in August 2025 and was in a stroller. Her mother Inna, according to the head of state, died in the hospital. The second deceased girl was 11 years old. Another 14 people were injured, among them six children. Earlier, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, confirmed the final figure of six dead, specifying the ratio: four adults and two children.

"You Cannot Think About Money with Russia While It Continues Its Stupid War"

In his address, Zelenskyy urged the international community not to lift sanctions pressure on Russia until, as he stated, the killings stop. "We need life protection. We need air defense for Ukraine. You cannot think about money with Russia while it continues its stupid war," the president stated. He thanked everyone who helps Ukraine shoot down Shaheds and missiles, as well as stopping Russian assaults, and emphasized that behind the "horrific photos" lie "broken lives and the truth about this war."

Call to the US and Europe: Lindsey Graham's Law and Continued Support

In his address, Zelenskyy appealed to the United States with a request to "be strong" and apply Lindsey Graham's law, and to Europe to continue supporting Ukraine. "We are asking to do everything possible so that peace comes and security is guaranteed," the president added. He also stated that Ukraine wants peace, while Russia, according to him, "has been insisting on continuing the killings all this time," and called on the global community to "use strength against the murderers."
