A Russian UAV struck a 9-story residential building in Kyiv's Dniprovskyi district on September 9. A woman was killed, three people were injured, including two children. Multiple drone attacks were recorded across the city and the region.

A Russian Shahed drone struck the rear of the 'Kharkiv – Izium' passenger train at a station near Iskra village. The impact caused a fire, and shrapnel injuries were sustained by passengers and railway workers.

On September 8, a “Shahed” strike drone entered Moldovan airspace from the Ukrainian side. Authorities temporarily closed the central part of the sky; according to several media reports, the drone also crossed the Romanian border.

Ukrainian President's advisor Serhiy Beskrystnov stated that the 'Shahed' drone that struck the SBU building in Kyiv could have been guided online via a radio repeater activated by a Russian agent several kilometers from the target. The SBU promised a "painful" response to the attack.

On the morning of August 23, a "Shahed" drone struck the locomotive of train No. 147 Zhytomyr–Odesa in Odesa Oblast. Thanks to the evacuation declared by the UZ monitoring team, none of the 593 passengers were injured.

A Russian jet-powered UAV flew over Ukraine for more than 850 km, reaching the western oblasts. According to eRadar, Moscow is testing new penetration corridors and expanding the range of its aircraft.

A «Shahed» drone attacked a gas station in Malyn, Zhytomyr Oblast. Expert Serhiy Besskrystnov suggested the drone was controlled via repeaters on Belarusian territory, which may have been installed without Lukashenko's knowledge. Previously, Zelenskyy gave the Belarusian leader one week to remove such systems.
