7000-year-old skeleton found in anomalous pose in Bavaria, baffling archaeologists
In Lower Bavaria, a 7,000-year-old skeleton of an adolescent was discovered in an anomalous contorted pose during excavations of a Linear Pottery culture settlement. Archaeologists are currently unable to determine if the pose was ritualistic or formed due to body shifting in a sloped burial pit.
