Intel has showcased a dual-chip AI accelerator based on Crescent Island D270 components: featuring two GPUs with 32 Xe3P cores, PLX interconnect, and liquid cooling with a copper water block.

At Hot Chips 2026, Intel revealed the architecture of Crescent Island: 32 Xe3P cores, 256 XMX matrix engines, up to 480 GB of LPDDR5X, and a 350 W TDP. The accelerator targets cost-efficient AI inference for agentic scenarios; first samples are expected in the second half of 2026.
