Fire at Atyrau Refinery Extinguished Without Production Halt: What the Incident Says About Risks in Kazakhstan's Fuel Sector
Kazakhstan's MES and "KazMunayGas" confirmed the full extinguishment of the fire at the Atyrau Oil Refinery, which began on August 25 at the treatment facilities. There were no casualties, production was not halted, however the incident exposed the risks of outdated capacities.
