Chabala Self’s bronze sculpture “Lady in Blue” has been installed on the Fourth Plinth of Trafalgar Square — an anonymous Black woman in a lapis-lazuli dress, stepping forward. The work becomes the 16th in the public art programme and will remain on the plinth for two years.

The INDEPENDENT exhibition has opened at Art Ukraine Gallery in Kyiv, bringing together more than 20 artists and a rare private collection by the avant-garde artist Alexander Arkhipenko. The project is presented as a statement about the freedom of Ukrainian art.
