Metro Zoning: How Kyiv is trying to bring order to underground shelters
🚇 A pilot project for platform zoning has been launched at the Syrets station in the Kyiv Metro. Special stickers will help passengers with children, pets, and those simply wishing to sit find a convenient spot.
📍 The markings are recommendatory but aim to reduce chaos and assist staff.
⛺ The Metro has urged passengers not to bring tents and mattresses to avoid clogging the aisles. At the end of July, a record 56,000 people took shelter in the metro. The project may be scaled to other stations.
